The two most recent art pieces installed within Laganside are ‘Mapping History’ by Eleanor Wheeler and ‘Dreams’ by Rita Duffy.

This unusual art piece by local artist Eleanor Wheeler, situated on the gable end wall at Gardiner’s Wholesale Jeweller’s outside Cotton Court, consists of a mosaic of individually crafted tiles. The tiles were designed by visitors to the area and local businesses, and depict everything from a marriage proposal to footprints of new born babies.

Dreams

‘Dreams’ by Rita Duffy is a thought provoking art piece, installed on the new Lanyon Quay building, along Oxford Street at Lanyon Place. It incorporates a grid formation of 40 large metal panels etched with the portraits of children.
